Default fans not coming on. did before cam install. now they arnt the car is Untuned. HELP

does the fans not coming on have anything to do with the car being untuned? they came on fine when the car was bone stock. the gauge went to 210 and still no fans. anyone have any ideas?

If the tune was not edited, the tune should not be the culprit.

Be sure and check all your connections.

Maybe let it get a little hotter like 220. The gauge said 210 but maybe the engine was not at the high of a temp, therefor not crossing the fan turn on threshold in the tune.

Did it take all the coolant you drained out ? If not you might have a huge air pocket in there. These f bodies are a beach to fill up correctly the first time.

I think he's wondering if you made sure the fans are indeed still hooked up. it wouldn't be hard to check and make sure they work by putting 12 volts to them and bypassing the PCM for testing purposes. Try that to make sure they're still working (i don't see why they wouldn't be) and then we can try to diagnose why they're not turning on when the PCM tells them to (assuming the PCM is telling them to since the tune was never changed). Keep us posted on what you find out. Good luck.

Sorry don't mean to jack the thread but this question should apply to the OP, is there a downfall to wiring the fans to be on at all times?
