New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - tilt steering anyone help

I have a 94 z28 camaro i need help finding out what is wrong with my tilt steering colum its doesnt lock in place anymore i cant start it unless i pull on the wheel to make the ignition catch and i cant use my hi beams can some one help and tell me what they think is wrong and how to fix the problem

It sounds like the steering column is broken, because it can't lock, and it could have messed up the wiring in the column that would explain all the electrical problems you are having. Pull off the covers around the steering column and see if everything ok, and then work your way in.
