Stock pretty much cept for lid and muffler. Does the larger pipe have anything to do with sound?

Yes, larger pipe will make it deeper and louder and you will see a few HP from up sizing.

With all stock you'll notice a little volume increase, especially at WOT. Add some headers and high flow cats ( or no cats at all ) and you will definitely notice a volume increase.

I would say if your going to spend the money to upsize to 3" and your looking for volume, then do a TD setup. You won't be disappointed!!!

You must not be talking about an f-body if your stock exhaust is 2 1/4"

my stock mid pipe is 2 5/8 I.D. He might be talking about the duals that run from the rear muffler... those ar usually small like 2in or so....

If you have a y-pipe setup still I'd go with a flowmaster merge or something similar

oh ya sorry was meaning the duals from the rear muffler. What part should I replace to make it louder? The Y pipe? And I would do TD but I am stock up there with the manifold. Still possible to do TD?

For the piping, x-pipe, and 3 1/2" chrome tips ( I supplied the LM1s ) $500 this price includes labor and shop time. This is from where the Ypipe connects to the stock cats back, so no more squished pipe under the drivers side!

I want true dual with loudmouth mufflers. If I supplied the mufflers and the tips how much would the rest be? Also, if i had a flowmaster 80 right now and just switched it to a LM muffler would it be louder?
