I will never again buy Dynatech headers.
I have less than 1200 miles on them, and they are just under 2 years old. The reason I have so little miles on them, is because I could never get them to stop leaking around the collector, and the car would run like ****. I have fought with this for as long as I have had the headers, and I give up.
I have tried using copper sealant, exhaust sealer, you name it I tried it. I decided to take it to an exhaust shop here in town. The guy is one of the best around, if not the best. He told me, after looking at them, that I am screwed. There is nothing he can do to stop the leak, because it is coming from the middle of the collector.
So, I have a set of headers that cost me over $500.00, that has leaked from day one. The car runs like ****, because the leak is up stream from the O2 sensor, and it thinks that the car is running lean, and dumping fuel on the left bank. It can't be fixed, and I have to drop another $500.00 bux on a different set, other than Dynatechs, the ceramic coating is peeling badly, and rusting underneath... and like I said, they only have 1200 miles on them because I can't drive the car from it running so bad. I bought the car new in Dec. of 1999, and it I it only has 33,488 miles on it.
Thanks Dynatech.

Don't take this negatively, but I thought that it was stated on Dynatech's site that the collectors were slip fit and that if you wanted to run them on the street you would have to get them welded. I would think that your exhaust dude could just remove the collectors, weld the 4 primary tubes together with a piece of diamond shaped metal to seal the middle, and then weld the collectors on. Wouldn't that work?

I agree with your statements, and me and several of my friends found this out 2 or 3 years ago.... Horrible leaks and we tried everything to fix them. I got sick of the car and sold it.. The other people switched headers after dealing with the leaks for a long time, and you are correct.... it will screw with the 02's... Mine were rusting after 2.5 months also... I liked the Jet-Hot headers that I had on my last car. Good luck!
