i just picked up a corvette c5 with a bad motor. going to put the stock ls1 from my ws6 into it. is there anything different between the two motors or is it a direct swap? any info will help thanks!

Should be the same motor, may have different intake/heads depending on the year of each engine.

Pretty sure thy have different oil pans. You can prob take the pan off the C5 and just reuse that.

Yeah, the oil pan, and all the engine accessories/ tensioners and brackets will need to be swapped.

Also you must swap over the harmonic balancer from the C5. The belt will not line up if you try and use the f-body one.

The motor itself the same.

Yes it is.

You need to swap the throttle bodies.

the vette uses different exhaust manifolds as well
