MAF problem..

MAF problem.. so i hid a nitrous kit on my TBSS...i ran the lines through the arifilter and the MAF, and down the intake tube...after i started it up it misses and wont idle for about 20 seconds but then clears up and idles/runs fine...i thought this was due to restrcing the MAF by the two lines running through it...i removed everything and put it back to original but it is still doing the same thing...its throwing a code for the MAF too...ive tried unhooking battery for a while but nothing seems to help...any suggestions?
