How did you guys do it. I've never put on an exhaust system before or even been around when someone did so pardon me if this is a little stupid. I recently just got my hands on a nice set of coated MAC midlengths and the ORY to boot. I'm looking at ordering the TSP rumbler within a month or so. This will take some welding right? So I was just wondering how I should get everything pieced together? Should I put the headers and y-pipe on and drive it ot the place and then have them put the cat-back on? Or just drive my stock ride there and let them handle this. I'm confused on how you handle this business.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

:newbie:

Thanks in advance,
Justin

If you can handle headers and the Y, why would you have someone else do the catback??

I'm confused, do you want the muffler shop to put cats on in addition to your Y pipe??

Put back on the stock catback until you get the new catback??

no welding should be needed the header and ORY are both from mac they should bolt right up and the catback will just clamp onto the ORY. catback is the easiest part

Thanks for your responses. What I've found out is that the Y pipe was customized to some extent. There is nothing for catback to bolt onto. The part where the Y comes together is 3" piping with no bolt-on brackets like the collectors on the headers have. The system had previously been modified and welded. I'm thinking maybe it was just a racing bullet right after the Y. Maybe a dynomouth type setup or dumped. Haven't asked the guy I bought it off of. After speaking with a friend I've came to the conclusion that I am just going to cut the stock Y ending off and then have it welded to the new system so that I can just bolt-on the TSP Rumbler. Am I making any sense?
