Default 98-02 Camaro projector housing with HID

IS there a good kit out there that comes with the projector lens and hid kit. Im currently running a cheap projector lens kit i bought off ebay its very poor fitment and i can only see 10 feet in front of me. Are the Anzo lenses good? Can that be installed with an hid kit? Or should i just have my old stock lenses polished back to life and run that with an hid kit? Some help please.

Which did you get? Pic/link of the ones you have?

Sonars are pretty decent for pre-made aftermarket. I had those.

If you want the best HID output however, a projector retrofit in the stock housings is the best way.

Hm, those are the Sonars. They usually are decent. Did you put HID in them or just using the stock H1 halogen bulbs?

Also did you aim them properly?

it says in the back of the housing hid with an x over it i was assuming that meant an hid cannot work. Yes aimed them as far up as i could. The fitment also seems to be horrible big gaps compared to stock. But are you saying it is possible to put an hid kit on these light?

They put that no-HID sticker there for legal reasons. Technically HID shouldn't go in them, it but it works fine.

For the fitment, there are 3 mount points. 2 are adjustable for left/right and up/down. The third is supposed to be a fixed pivot point. However, it has a philips screw head. If you loosen it a bit, it pushes the bottom part of the housing outward to help fill the gap. I did that and pushed mine out by 1/8-1/4 inch (don't know exactly) and it filled the gap nicely. I also had H1 35W HIDs in there and it worked pretty well.

I have some pics of the HID output, if you wish.

They are much better with HID, yes. You would want a 35W H1 HID kit.

Please don't put HID in the stock housings. HID in halogen reflectors creates a lot of glare for other drivers.
