Making my ss hood functional

I have a 94 z28 with the lt1 and it has a American sports car design ss hood. I'm trying to figure out a way to make it functional. If anybody has an idea as to how, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i can take a pic of the underside of my hhood later, but you should have the same thing.

mines original though. you might have to do some cutting if it isnt
