Default BAD 02 sensors? Which one? (pics/scan)

Let me begin by saying..."Hey! I just drive em!"

With that..I shall continue...
The TA started running goofy a few days ago and threw a code.
(I was driving thru heavy HEAVY rain last saturday)
Scanned it.

[PCM] P0131 - HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 1 (SES) (Old) (History) (Current) (Immature)
[PCM] P0171 - Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1 (Old) (Current) (Immature)

I reset the dtc's...

After another trip I got another SES..but only a p0131
[PCM] P0131 - HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 1 (SES) (Old) (History) (Current) (Immature)

It seems that one of the 02 senors has suddenly gone bad.
The voltage is really low..
It goes from 0 to 24mv AT BEST...

Here is what HP was showing

Looks like its B1S1
(I have the other sensors listed to show that they seem to be working OK)

Now here's the 'duh' part.
Which one is it?!?!
And How can a pinhead like me fix it?

Now then...
Which one is it?!?
These are hangin' out of a set of Kooks LTs.

Are they difficult to replace? It looks like one of em isnt the same as the others.. C seems to be the 'oddball'.

I checked the connections and they 'appear' to be ok...but that doesnt really mean anything.

Any suggestions? Help? thoughts?

bank 1 is the driver's side and sensor 1 is the precat O2 sensor.

That would be correct! Per your pics it would be "C" Yours doesn't look too bad to take off. Doesn't looked seized. I had to use a wrench with a BIG HAMMER!

Just had to replace my bank 2 sensor 1 today. It was passenger's side upstream. The upstream (before cat) sensors will make it run like dog manure. They help determine A/F and will cause a miss and multiple misfire codes. The ones after the cat only monitor if the cat itself is good.

Mine is running like a top again!

Mine did the same a few months ago, p0131 and p0134 codes. I put in new O2's and it worked well again. The other day I was routing some wiring down the same path as the driver side and now I'm getting the p0131 code again constantly and my bank 1 short term fuel trim is going 55 while cruising on the highway just like it did before. I sure the same O2 didnt go bad again, and coincidence with disturbing the wiring? I'm going to inspect the wiring because that has to be it. If you replace your sensors, save the old ones, they might still be good. I'll post up if I found out anything else.

Yep, B1S1 is the front, driver's side sensor.

You will not find your O2 sensors in those exact same locations, unless you have LT headers. On a stock car, the front sensors are much closer to the engine and not really visable from the angles seen in the pics in this thread. Just an FYI.

Dont feel so bad...
Me? I just drive em!

I plead 'alot of stoopid' when it comes to the mechanics...hence this post.

OH!
And an update.
The 02 was replaced with a Denso sensor. Part DENSO0234-4025.
For the last few days its been running like a champ.
I havent scanned it again yet.. I'm just giving the tables a chance to adjust before I start reviewing.

Alright I figured out my problem. It seems the electrical wires are pretty sensitive. I tucked the wires behind the heat shield on the DS and they were crushed behind the retaining nut. No visible damage, just internal to the wires I guess. That was a $150 mistake, good thing the Bosch has a one year warranty!
