Default 17inch front drag rim. 5,6inch wide?

Looking for info on running this size front wheel size for the street. I don't want to run a super skinny tire and have the poor braking and handling that go with that. I have a 15x3.5 wheel set for the track already (DS2 tires). I'm running race crafts 2inch drop spindles with strange brakes. And every normal sized street rims (17x9.5, 16x8) do not work, they don't fit over the tie rod, because the steering arm is 2inch closer to the rim barrel

this is my 16x8 Z28 rim I wanted to run.

I'm going to run my 15x10 prostars on the rear with DR and need a 5star to match them.

Race star makes a 17x7 4inch BS. But I think that will hit. Anyone running it?
Weld makes The RTS in the 17x4 most run. But I dont think there any good tires for them? Or is there?

I see some guys running the billet specialty 17 fronts. But dont have much info on them? I think they only make a 17x7+

I run a 17x6 Bogart with a 205/50 BFG and a 28x13.5 in the rear..Im sure they would clear your spindle but wont match..I went with the 6s just for the reason of no tire selction for the 4s...I didnt like the Hoosiers or the M&Hs

ya somthing Like a 225/205 tire. How do they drive on the street? I've drove a few times on my DS2 but just just going slow, on some back roads. not it traffic or anything.

Whats the backspacing on them? Do you have any pics how then fit over the control arm. I know my stuff is different but all I can find much to test fit.

I can try to get some pictures tomarrow..I ALMOST daily drive mine like this, I at least take it to lunch a few times a week, but I drive it a lot. I can still take corners pretty good, as good as anything with a spool, bias plys and no front sway bar lol but its still fun to drive.
