Well this winter I'm looking to step up the program i have a 1970 nova with a th400 nine inch i have two gear sets one is a 3.89 the other is a 3.25. the car sits on a 325-50-15 MT drag radial. the current motor is an LT1 13:1 383 afr 210 heads srp pistons eagle rods 4340 crank current intake is carb dual plane but i have a super vic sitting here ready to be converted. cam is a solid roller 265 273 @ .050 650I 630E 110 LSA
Should I:
1. pull the motor convert the block to a 4 bolt put lower compression pistons in it HYD roller cam and put a turbo on it
2. Pull the motor convert the block to a 4 bolt freshen put a bottle on it and spray it
3. build a BAD LS N/A combo
4. stock LS swap with a turbo
easiest would probably be to 4 bolt it and spray it but should i do what is easy even though i really want boost since I'd rather have big N/A power or boost for the power since i want it there all the time. what im looking for is a car that will run mid 10's to high 9's at 3300 be a weekend warrior. the turbo combo's will be the most drivable and make the most power. for a turbo i already have headers for a SBC.......

Truthfully that car should be running mid 10s as it sits. Before dropping more oodles of cash I'd first figure out why you aren't already running those numbers.
If you want to go further the most cost-effective method is nitrous. A boosted build of that magnitude is going to put a serious dent in your pocket.

To be honest i have taken it to the track yet or really raced anyone but just does not feel fast at all........ Atleast not compared to the last car i built which was a 69 Vette with a 468 that went 6.71@105 in the 1/8 n/a with a 3.25 gear and 28 inch tall tire......... that car was set up for a big hit forged everything ceramic coated piston Blah Blah Blah. This thing feels like a turd in comparison maybe it is the lack of torque......

i did dyno it but the dyno number is stupid low..... the vette i listed above made 370 wheel on that dyno my buddy with his AFR headed 408 mustang made 295 my car made 295 and about the same on torque. i played with timing since it is an E85 combo jetting was right on......

to be honest my guess is that it is not 13:1 the guy that sold my dad the car said 13-13.5:1...... at this time im not going to take it apart just to find out. again i think the problem is two fold... one im coming from a big block that was making 500ft/lbs at 3000 and went up from there. secondly i think the dual place carb intake it limiting this combo where it wants to run.... the hp flatlines at 6000 and the cam should make peak at 7ish.... plus if the intake is all done at 6000 it has to be hurting it well below peak....

who ever put that intake on the motor should be slapped..cam and comp is to big for it,not to mention its choking the **** out them heads...you have a intake that is only flowing like 230cfm on probley a head that is 290cfm with a setup built to spin and breath..
My brodix -10 heads i have for sale right now have both lt1 and reg sbc intake bolt patterns drilled into it..if i where you thats what i would do then you dont have to go having every intake you may try on the motor converted over.

i agree with the intake being possibly to small, i had one on my extream lt1 conversion and afr heads and it killed my power everywhere on the board, removed it for a vic add gained 88hp right off the swap. i told myself i would never use that intake again. i just did not realize what i was leaving on the table until i seen and felt the difference
