Have you had it tuned since you installed the converter? Did you install a trans cooler when you put the stall in? Mine still had problems and wasn't throwing a code at times. You absolutely sure your not in going into limp mode? How's the fluid level? What exactly did you have "rebuilt" in the trans. Trying to help you here man, the more details you can give us the easier we can help you.

Limp mode would mean it would be stuck in 3rd gear, that's the reason i ask if your sure it isn't stuck in 3rd instead of 2nd. When the PCM thinks the transmission is in danger is when it goes into Limp Mode. The PCM pulls timing and adjusts line pressure.
So you say it shows negatives in the pressure when you give it gas. Does it take a decent amount of throttle to get it moving when your at a stop sign/light and it won't shift once you get it going even if it's close to redline?
Try disconnecting your negative battery cable, leave it off for a couple minutes put it back on. Check your fluid level. When is the last time your filter was replaced? Start it up after checking all of the following and take it for a ride, just make sure not to beat on it. Have you tried manually shifting your car? I know it's not a good thing to do, but it seems like you have no other options here.
Did he replace any bands or clutches when he "rebuilt" the trans? And exactly when does it "stick" in to gear, you said every now and then, does that mean after the car has been running and is at operating temp? After you have been driving awhile? Cold starts?
Read through all of that and try it all and get back to me.
