Default drive belt too tight

I did a engine swap and the engine came with underdrive crank pulley. I tried oreilly k060760 belt today and it's too tight I believe. I can hardly get in over the idler pulley. I got this belt according to what thunderracing says to get for a underdrive crank pulley.

If you can get it over the pulleys, no way is it too tight.

Or do you mean you can barely get it over the pulley with it cranked all the way down?

Stock tensioner pulley?

It takes me probable 10mins of working with it to fit over the idler pulley. I'm gonna go get one 1/2" longer.

Good idea.

Also, if you want a serpentine belt to literally last 10 years.....and you have the cash.....get the Katech fixed tensioner. The reason belts fail or wear out fast is because the factory GM belt tensioner is a piece of garbage design. It allows the belt to get loose, then tight, then loose, then tight......by bouncing on its spring. The Katech tensioner has no spring, you tighten it and thats it, the belt cant bounce at all.'

My serpentine belt is the same one from 2002.....it still looks brand new.
