hot 6.0 liter block
Looking at buying an aluminum 6 liter. guy says it burnt the oil and scored cylinders. Sounds like it was run out of oil. Im worried the blocks integrity may be comprimized.Anybody have thoughts on this issue?

Have the owner take it to a machine shop to verify the "soundness" of the block, I would think it would be expected or as a seller I would have done this in anticipation of selling it. Otherwise why ask for money if you cannot verify its a good block.

sounds like I should walk away. I doubt he would incurr that expense.
He told me trailblazers are notorioius for burning the oil. Does anyone know what this means?

LS type blocks can be easily messed up and on a GEN 1 or 2 SBC engine a scratch in a cyl ment a 0.030" overbore and clean up with a slightly larger piston, no issues. With the advent of these motors seemingly minor things can make a block junk easy.
Another common issue with Aluminum blocks is people putting on heads and not properly cleaning out the bolt holes. As you know, you can't compress a liquid and when that happens, good bye block as you just cracked it. BUT unless you know where to look or have it checked, you never see until its leaking!
The PCV systems sometime consume oil, but IMO I would walk away.
