Default car will only start on second try

2000 camaro, Z28. When It is cold the car will crank good but not hit a lick. Stop cranking and hit the key again and it will fire right up. After it has warmed up it will start. Any suggestions?

Check fuel pressure. Sounds like it may be bleeding off after sitting

^ x2 sounds like fuel pump might not be priming right off the bat or something along the lines of fuel not getting there immediately

MAF is just cheap and takes 5 minutes. Do that first. But I guess borrow a fuel pressure tester from the parts store if they offer that, while your there.

Next time you start it cold turn the key to the on position but don't start it. Listen for the fuel pump to prime and then turn off, then start it and see if you have the same problem

Usually thats gonna be info you want in your first post. Your gonna have to start small like all these guys are saying. Because at that mileage it could be anything.
