Default Best brand of cleaner wax?

I have some buffing compound that I need to get off my hood and other spots on my car. I bought some meguiars liquid wax and that didnt do **** but make it shine. Do I need to clay bar or is there a wax that will take care of year old buffing compound and protect the paint at the same time?

I use Meguiar's M0216 Mirror Glaze Fine-Cut Cleaner. It is in their professional series. Follow it up with Meguiars #09 Swirl Mark Remover 2.0 and Meguiars #26 Mirror Glaze Hi Tech Yellow Carnauba Wax. I apply all with a orbital buffer and a different pad for each one.

If you want to give it a try:

Revive Polish

Rated #1 by Bestcovery: http://www.bestcovery.com/Best-Car-Polish

Works really well with our color coded hex grip foam applicator. http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-456-a...pplicator.aspx

Don't forget you get 10% off with the code LSONE too.
