Default Stage 8 bolts or not and where do I get them from?

I am about to get Kook's Stainless LT's put on my 98 Z. And am wondering should I go with Stage 8 bolts or reuse the stock ones? I read where some one said the Stage 8 bolts didn't feel good going in and use the stock ones. Also should I use locktite on which ever bolts I use? My main question is where can I find the Stage 8.

Stock ones should be fine just make sure they are clean and the threads in the head are clean.
Don't use locktite, use an anti-seize compound as you are threading into aluminum.....

I tried to use the ones supplied with my Hooker LT's but after a few attempts at threading the 2nd one in I gave up. The stockers have a tapered end and find the threads a lot easier when the header is being attached. There have been many instances of people cross threading the header bolts so whatever you choose just be careful not to do that.

I used stage 8 bolts and really like them. Regardless of which bolt you use, tap the holes, and use anti-sieze on them. The stage 8 bolts just add an extra level of assurance that they will never back out (plus they look cool!)

I really like mine too, I've had them in and out several times and never had a problem with them or putting the locks on. They are also stainless so they will always look good.

I ordered a set of Stage8's then decided to go with the Breslin Split-Lock bolts instead due to the ease of install/removal vs. the Stage8's.

If you want a set of new/unused SS Stage8's - I'll sell you mine. Let me know at jay442@msn.com

Get the ARP LS1 header studs. This will make installation of the headers a LOT easier. Put the studs in, slide header up on the studs, and put a nut on, voila, no more holding and maneuvering of the header to get all 8 bolts in per side. The studs will hold them in place while you put the nuts on.

I wish I would have done what Cannibal suggested - I didnt realize ARP had those...
Regardless Im running S8's and they've been on and off the car a couple of times - no problems and the bolts won't back out on ya.
