I did a search here and on the internet in general but it was like a bad BING commercial ...
What is the current record in the LSX Shootout "Real Street" class?
If its posted somewhere and I missed it, I appologize in advance. Maybe attach a link? I notice there isnt a sticky with the 2011 results. Maybe something to add? and update after each race now that we have several :D
Thanks!

Correct, with this year's rules, Adam went 8.5xx in Atlanta. (I had a great angled rear view)
Last year, same motor, different body & rules I believe he ran 8.1 - 8.2

Preston went an 8.14 at 170 in round one of last year's LSX Shootout in a 3rd gen Camaro.

different Nitrous rules this year though. last year was no jet limit, and they gave it all it had(or so seemed)

I'd say 8.40's by year end.
Yes, NEW jet rule this year. Not likely to see low eights unless someone does a BIG inch Mozez head deal. I am sure its comin'

Mozez are not legal in RS.
Be tuff for a N20 car to run low 8's with the jet restriction.
Someone builds a gangster F1c set up it will go 7's.

Ah yeah, thats right. Been awhile since I looked at the rules....
I wish they would look at the rear suspension rule for '12 and allow ladder bars (with stock frame rails intact) and hit them with a 50# weight penalty so I could run my deuce.

there is a record "claim" process that needs to be followed.
Tray Capps from NMCA has posted this process in this thread

Agreed, just clarifying the "record" stated above a little more. Remember, records are retired at the end of every season, although that pass is the quickest all time at this point...

Ted Jannetty has a minter than mint 73 Camaro RS that fits these rules to a "T" except for the ladder bars. He too is wishing there was a weight penalty and they were allowed.
Thanks for the info guys. I hear LPE has an entry ready and be competitive. Cant wait to see this class progress!

Yeah its a white 5th gen Camaro.
It's off the hook.
25.2 car with a 76mm turbo set up.
Powerglide with Lock-Up torque converter.
Big money into that car.
They have two engines for it too.
One with a std. cross plane crank and the other with a flat plane crank.
Yamaha started using flat plane cranks in their R1's a few years ago.
A trickle down from their MOTO GP development.
Let the games begin!

We will see soon enough when Justin's F1R set up is done.
The F1c isnt that far from the R.
Goss has been 4.98 @ 141 with the F1c .. whats that 7.7x's ?
Wouldnt need a crazy motor, solid 6 bolt bottom end and a decent set of heads would do it.

Justin is Gear drive, so are you saying Gear all the way?
We are talking max effort here, with max impeller speeds/boost.
Do you think a Belt can pull it off?

If/when I build one it will be a gear drive.
Yes, I think a good cog set up could do it.
Yes, max impeller speeds, wont be a "street car".
