Default dfw tuning

So I'm not new to the ls series but I am new to tuning. I was told by a guy to take it to xtreme performance but all the reviews I'm reading say to stay away from there. My car is in desperate need of a tune. Any good advice?
Thanks

In for updates. I'm looking too and was about to go to Xterme HP but read bad stuff. I need a SD tune for a blower/stroker setup.
