Default New from San Antonio/Houston TX

Hello all;

Everyone calls me Ernie. I am stuffing a LS1 into a 91 Mustang Fox Body and trying to make it as light as possible. Just found a set of heads and short block. Needing help in cam selection and other acc. items for the engine. Great site with lots of info.

Right now I am starting with a set of 241 castings which look pretty good for a start. I am going to use the Texas Speed 233/239 112lsa, 11:1 compression, LS6 intake (have to find one first). Transmission 4L80E with a 2500 stall, 9 inch rear with 3.89 gears.

I have a few Mustang buddies that put down Camero's, Corrvette's, etc.. So I am going to **** them off and show them what a Mustang should run like with a Chevy Engine on pump gas....lol

I would get rid of the 241s and get some 243s, there well worth the few extra hundred for way better flow and higher compression, you can pickup a used set of ls6/ls2 243 heads for about 500 bucks too
