Default What is your favorite generation of Camaro/Trans Am?

Just a thread I'm running to see everyone's favorite generation of the Camaro/Trans Am. Be sure to include a picture and any other information on the car and what makes it so great. The more opinions the better!

The 1998-2002 Pontiac Trans Am is my favorite. Most aggressive looking muscle car ever produced I believe.

I like the 70-73, 79-81, 98-02 T/A's. I would love to restore a 2nd genertion when I am financially able to.

So far it seems the 4th generation is getting most of the votes. It's definitely the most common on the streets.

I still have lots of respect for the old ones. Wont' forget the one time I raced a 1969 Camaro SS, had a good amount of work done to it, hung with me neck and neck. Beautiful old car.

u know whats interesting,

i wonder if the designers & engineers of the 5thgen camaro are taking notice of this poll?

we're not necessarily flocking over to a 5th gen (I think price has alot to do with it), and unfortunately i think the honeymoon is coming to an end.

I do give them credit for paying homage with its retro'ish design and large displacement, too bad its heavy and over priced.. but with that being said, I don't think its entirely their fault with all the strict regulations so i wont rag too much on it.

What was the price of a base z28 again? anyone remember?

25k for a loaded 98 z28.. my 98 ss window sticker was under 30k

$37k... for a base 2ss 6spd, i've seen a fully loaded 2ss go dam close to 50k in austin

sorry, but thats way to expensive

btw with these new epa regulations, i hope they don't convert our beloved camaro's into hybrid trash

kthx

A base Z28 was right around 20k back in '98 I believe. Which was crazy cheap for what you were getting, blows my mind.

I voted for the 4th gen as my favorite generation Camaro/Trans Am, they are better than all the previous generation cars by a longshot in pretty much every single aspect, it's a fact. I don't really like older cars much at all either so I can't say much about the 1st and 2nd gens, never really cared for them too much.

'67/68 Firebird (not the whole first gen, just the first two years); 4th-gen Trans Ams.

Not really partial to Camaros of any generation.
