Default Hooker Aerochamber

Hey guys, I'm in process of getting some new exhaust on my 99 TA and wondering if anyone has ever had an Hooker Aerochamber on their Ta and how did it sound? I dont want some thing excessively loud{ thats what cutouts are for } just a good tone/rumble

I have a Hooker Aerochamber. It's not loud at all. Wot it sounds nice but isn't obnoxious. That's why I have a cutout.

It's a good flowing stealth muffler that is good to pair with a cutout....

I had one, nice sounding at full throttle as stated but quiet everywhere else. Wasnt loud enough for me, decent muffler to use with a cutout but with cutout closed I wish it was a little louder. I now run true duals with no cutouts.

Default Aerochamber

Just like they said==it is not very loud and sounds real good at WOT. Depends on your taste. It could be a little louder but i am very happy with mine===sounds good. I have the TSP catted y-pipe and no detectable Rasp at all.

Mine sounds pretty close to stock even with headers and ory. I imagine when I cam it it'll sound pretty good though.

If the Aero is very quite ill look into it, but any ideas of something with a good rasp-free rumble....I want my neighbor to hear me but not so loud you cant talk to person next to you ya know

PS: the rest of the system is basically gonna be stock, with a single cutout after the merge

I'm running it with heads, cam, ory and I'm more than satisfied with it. With my cam its still pretty quiet. If you want quiet though I would go with it or a Magnaflow they seem to be the quietest ones. I've never heard a magnaflow in person but I like my Aero. I do think the magnaflows are stainless though. Just something to consider.

My aero chamber catback was just the same as everyone else has described: quiet when it's supposed to be, and loud when you want it loud.

Now, the 3" SI/SO Aerochamber, with a single 3" over-the-axle pipe on my 5.3 truck is rediculously loud. Louder than my 224/230 cammed LT1 running through the catback (2 tailpipes) was.

I'm beginning to think the crossflow design of the fbody specific aero chamber is what makes it quiet. I'd really like to build a true dual setup with two 3" SI/SO aero chambers like my truck has, but dumped before the axle on my car. They're supposed to be (and look to be) a very good flowing muffler too.

Mine was pretty loud with LTs/ORY. It was pretty old school sounding and had some rasp to it. Sold it to a buddy and installed it for him and it got real quiet. Couldn't figure out why.

Love my hooker. Same as above, not too loud at idle or crusing but it screams at WOT

There's an Aerochamber soundclip in my sig. It's really quiet with LT's, and an ORY, IMO.

Alright guys i appreciate it i just ordered the Aero chamber. i think its exactly what I'm looking for.

Now about cut outs, which are the best i plan on putting one after the ORY. I don't know much about them Ive never had one nor has anyone i know. Whats the best brands? which type should i go with? Electronic,Lever, or manual caps?

I'd like to run this same setup on my ls1. I have cutouts that I'm putting on right now, would you recommend this muffler?

This one is untuned after the cam install. But it gets the point across.

Paired with lts and a catted y it sounds great. Nice rumble best way to describe it is a deep sound with no rasp. If your an a4 with a stall it will sound even better. Now that the stall and lts are in I'm very happy with the hooker aerochamber

I heard these mufflers a 6.0 gto with LTs ,Xpipe ,and no cats. Of cource it was a axle back set up and was si/so. It sounded great at idle but at WOT it sounded like ****.

I hope it is not raspy. I have a loudmouth resinator which i hate. My favorite sound is a flomaster 50 old school sound. I read here they don't flow great. Is the Aerochember the most throaty not raspy muffler. I don't want to do the work and still hate the sound. Thanks.
