Default Question about AC compressors, having some issues

I'm replacing the AC compressor on my car and I'm running into a problem. I've put two different compressors on there, brand new (not reman), different brands, and they both have the same problem. As soon as I start it up the pulley starts squeaking. It sometimes quiets down a little as I drive but the next time I drive the car it comes right back. I can put the stock one back on (replacing it due to it leaking) and no noise at all. I can't believe two different brand new compressors could have the same problem. Is it normal for this to happen? The only thing I could think was that maybe the noise would go away after a few engage/disengage cycles of the clutch, does that make any sense? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I R&R the compressor for the THIRD time...

Serpentine belt is brand new, and again no noise with stock compressor.

Yup. Compressor has not even been run yet, it's the pulley making the noise.

Is there alignment dowels on the new compressor to mount it properly to the bracket?

I didn't see anything like that, the mounting ears sit right against the accessory bracket.
