Exclamation United States Border Patrol hiring again....
It's that time again ladies and gentlemen. This is your opportunity to become a Federal Agent with the Department of Homeland Security. LS1Vasquez, I'm sure marine and air ops are always hiring. Check the usajobs site and scroll around for "Marine Interdiction".

One of the dudes I work with got a call last week for the Border Patrol. It's a good job but not at a location I'd wanna live at.

He's GS12, she's GS9, he is also retired from the AF with 21 years and E7. They LOVE overtime

If it's still on your record you won't be able to carry a firearm, which means not qualified.

Rules are basically still the same.The way it works is that you apply for a certian geograhic location...i.e. southern border, northern border, western area, eastern area. Once you have passed the written, oral and physical exam, and the background investigation, they will call you with a job offer and a location. They usualy,not always, but usually call you with two job offers. Example, "Are you willing to go to the San Diego Station or the Imperial Beach Station, etc." and its up to you to accept the job offer or decline. Then you will get a date to attend the BP academy, and you will be there for 12 weeks.

I'll have to ask. If I remember correctly, it's only the felony stuff that really count but I'll have to ask.

Class B over 7 years and class C are usually accepted, no domestic violence is accepted, class A and Felonies, forget it. They require carrying, use and qualification of firearms, so you get the idea.
