Well first off welcome to the area. I too am a fairly recent transplant to the PNW. I just wanted to let you know tha you are being heard by a Tacoma area person as I know how frustrating it is to post here and only hear the sounds of crickets humping.

Looking through your past posts I am assuming this is the Firebird however given your screen name I am a bit confused. I can not really advise on what shops to go to as I dont trust anyone to work on my car. That being said my recommendation would be to get involved with a club that correlates to your car. IE pnwCC ( camaro) WWfirebirds (firebird). I think they would be a good source of people to tell you what shops are worth a crap, or maybe you can make REALLY good friends with someone who might want to take on the challenge. FWIW I was recently advised most of the Washington peeps are on LSXnation so perhaps you may want to post up over there too. I am hoping to stage a western washington revival myself so lets bring it back.

In the mean time lets hear about what you have, what you want to do, and where you are at with it.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a 2002 Pontiac Firebird and I had wanted to throw a Truck motor into it for awhile Either a 5.3L or 6.0L and convert to LS1 Fbody style...I am 0% complete. I had a racetronix fuel pump installed but the pump was destroyed by the shop who installed it and that shorted me 600... Even if I could just get a friend who could offer me some help and a garage (even for a price) I wouldnt mind...I just cant do it where I am cuzz Im in an apartment.

Welcome!Where in Seattle area are you located? I may be able to help you out. Ellis at speed secrets does good work. Most of the Seattle area people are over at lsxnation. 6.0 swaps decent. I have a stock lq4 long block with bolt ons and the car rips good last time out ran 12.72 on street tires.

Was talking with a few club members about this last weekend. We definitely have the talent, and guys with the space, just need you to supply the car, Parts, and desire to learn... You should come out to the show on the 20th and chat it up with some of the guys. www.allpontiacshow.com
