Default Knock and oil sensor

I'm in the middle of swapping a LS6 intake on to my camaro and underneath the stock intake was a ton of dirt and grime caked in. So I decided to pop the little boot off the knock sensor to see if they were dirty to and now the boot doesn't fit no where near as tight anymore. Will it be ok or should I add some rtv around it to seal it better. Also when I installed i tried to watch what i was doing but still broke the oil sensor. Will one from a autoparts store be just as good as a GM one? thanks

I replaced mine with gm knock sensors and wow they fit good. Bottom line is I don't suggest buyin sensors from auto parts stores . . . the water pumps aren't even like the gm pumps
