Default Question About Timing being pulled.

My setup with hptuners is pulling timing like a crazy and knocking when it does, is this normal? otherwise, when the iats and ects are high the pcm pulls timing. But, Does this mean that the timing pulled will show up as knock or no? maybe im over looking this....
Forgive the newbish question

there is pre ignition and detonation.

aka knock, ping etc.

figure out what your problem is and then locate the tables that match how much timing is being pulled vs commanded.

gernerally high iat should have some timing pulled, same as ect.

as higher ect could cause pre ignition same as high iat.

here is a good read and is worth its weight in gold!.
