Default IATs with painted factory intakes????

I am in the middle of a build and I am trying to decide wether or not to have my LS6 intake painted (for a little more show).

I know the composite intakes dissipate heat substantially better than an aluminum intake. How much would painting a factory composite intake affect the ability to dissipate heat?? If i am going to have noticeably higher IATs then I wont paint it.

It will have primer, base and a couple coats of clear.

Thanks

I have a painted aluminum intake. The way I look at it the air is not in there that long so should not heat up that much. But I am also running FMIC and meth. I want to find a heat extractor hood to help out a bit.

Well your IAT sensor is before your throttle body so you would have to use a infrared gun to take a before and after.
