Track was Slower than usual last night most ppl were runnin .2 - .3 tenths slower than the normally do.. 2 different Stalled DR LS cars. One went 8.30 the other 8.50.. its a shitty track i guess.. i woulnt kno its the only one ive ever been on.

But no complaints from me.. Stock convertor and Street tires are killing me..

btw it was 90degrees out and a thunderstorm was passing thro about 5min north of the track..

i went 8.0s at like 88 or 87 with stock 5.3 heads, longtubes and 3.73s on the stock converter and stock suspension on an 18 wheel and street tire with a 2.0 60ft. humidity was dumb though it was like 84% humidity and 85 degrees out.

we are in the same boat a converter is in the near future

Go with a converter before gear. You will pick up more than the gears. Also, going from 3.42 to 3.73 is not going to make much of a difference.

Agreed.

I also liked 3.42 gearing a little better.
