I was only able to make 3 runs and got kicked off the track on my last pass.
1st pass I missed 2nd gear, 2nd pass I missed 4th gear and ran a 11.1 @ 117 mph. Things were odd as it is pretty rare for me to miss a gear at all, but two gears in one night!? I was warned to not run that fast again but I wanted that 10 second slip and I wasn't going home without it. I also ran these passes with my cutout closed going through factory slp dual dual exhaust. I gain quite a bit with it open.
3900' Density altitude @ 2300' elevation
3rd pass
60: 1.635
330: 4.585
1/8: 7.067

1/4: 10.94
MPH: 128.73
Setup: 128,000 mile stock bottom end with valve job / milled 243's (11:1 compress)
Bre 224 n/a cam (single pac 1518 beehives, valve float above 5800 rpm)
Ported fast 85
KYTP Truck manifold setup with Precision 76GTS on 8lbs of boost
Alky Control Meth injection with 100% meth and 92 pump gas

Thanks alot guys it's been a lot of work (coils, plugs, wires, wastegates, turbos etc etc...) I have 3500 miles on the turbo stuff but about 18,000 on the h/c/i stuff (valve springs too, need to change them!)

Looks like we got a little friendly competition going with the stock bottom ended 76GTS'!!!:D
Congratulations man on the 10 second slip I know I was stoked to get mine.
Looks like you had some cool air last night too.
I went to Farmington and ran a 6.88@106 with @ 1.57 60'. I think before the season is over she has a 112 in her. We will see hopefully.
So your springs have 18k on them hmmm, did you always have the valve float issue? I know you posted that in my thread about the same thing with my 918's, but I have never experienced it. Doesn't mean it wont start to happen, but I do plan on going with a set of dual springs when the 317 heads are re-built and have their valve job and bowl work done.
Now go faster!!!:D

A few months back when I had the TC76 on I made 7-8 dyno runs trying to diagnose my misfire issue, (ended up being my stock coils) anyways on my very last pull my car kind of stuttered up high. Ever since that last pull it I always lose 1lb of boost at 5600-5800 and than my map sensor looks kind of wavey. I can feel it kind of stutter in 3rd and 4th gear so I ordered some new valve springs and I'm hoping that solves it.
I have been 102mph in the 1/8th on a hotter day but that was with my cutout open, I need to fix my wastegate angle because it makes too much boost with it open. Here is the graph on what I think is valve float. I really think I'm down 3-4 mph from where I should be.

I can understand why you think it is valve float, but from the looks of that graph it looks like the power curve comes back on around 6200 to shut off. If it were valve float wouldn't it break up all the way to shut off or redline? Once the valve becomes uncontrolled I don't think it can be stopped until it's brought back to the point where it started right? An object in motion will stay in motion kinda thing?
FWIW I made 640 on 11lbs thru a T56 on a Dyno Jet albeit less alitude than you. You do have a full point of compression on me though.

Also just saw you have 243's with a VJ I forgot about that, and you weigh less than me and the FAST is helping out too. Yea you should be trapping what I am with those mods even at 8 lbs. and at a higher DA

Keep in mind this is the first time I've ever ran the 76gts in the 1/4 mile, I made 3 1/8th miles passes about a month ago. I think it's a harmonic frequency issue where the valves are floating. Ever since that dyno run which was a couple 1000 miles ago I've had issues with the car stuttering above 5600. For every gear that I powershift I pick up 1 mph but I was having a hell of a timing power shifting so I let off inbetween each shift. I've only been running around 14 degrees of timing with the new turbo and through the slp dual dual. With the TC76 I went from 555 rwhp @ 15 degrees to 580 rwhp @ 17 degree with my cutout open on both runs. My car made 444 rwhp n/a with the cutout open but 427 closed. I imagine with boost it restricts a good 30-40 hp.
I am very happy to hit 10's in it's current state, because I know when I get the little bugs worked out it's only going faster. Hell I still have stock slp bilstein shocks and lower control arms. I met my goal with mostly stock stuff on 26" tall slicks.

That is very impressive to say the least and with a 6 spd and on top of the problems you were having! Looks like you can only go one way from here!

Any intercooler? Is it still pretty safe with higher compression? How much to put a turbo setup on and is it pretty easy (not 20 hours)?

Ya I have a front mount intercooler on it, since I'm running 100% methanol injection it seems to be safe so far on pump gas. I got all my turbo stuff for a damn good price but since than I've changed turbo and wastegate so the cost keeps going up. It's not too difficult but I spent every weekend for about 3-4 months straight working on it, there is a lot of work to do. Build intercooler mount, alternator relocation, install / wire pusher fans, delete a/c, notch k-member, build new exhaust, reroute power steering lines, drill / tap oil pain for drain, remove front end, cut out the front bumper, remove bumper support, trim underside plastic, install 2 step, swap rear gears (4.11 to 3.50) install some sort of vacuum lines (push-connect stuff), wire up methanol controller and lots of tuning! I had people helping with quite a bit of stuff and I'm sure I have well over 100 hours into it.

Loved your NA build and the turbo stuff well......:pimp:
Glad you got the 10s and of coarse it's driveable. Any updates on valvesprings
Remember to figure the square inches of the IN. valve diameter and multiply
by your boost #...which is why valvesprings are SOOO important on boost aps
If the beehives were perfect for the 224 stick na, I'd suggest the Lunati
dual kit for $225...keep us posted I'm sure there's a 10.50 in there yet

Thanks for the comments and I'm glad you've enjoyed my builds! I installed valve springs a few weeks ago, funny because I did buy the lunati setup. I shimmed them up to 160lbs @ the seat though, they rate them at 153 @ 1.81 but my spring checker was coming up around 145. My pac 1518 beehives were originally shimmed up to around 150lbs on the seat ;) After 19,000 miles on them they are around 130-135lbs, not bad at all! While swapping springs I did a leak test and noticed my methanol nozzle was a huge boost leak. My friend installed the nozzle and didn't put both rubber washer on it when I first got things going! Also realized he put the 10 gph nozzle in instead of the 15 gph nozzle doh! 15 gph nozzle is in now, damn mechanical engineers haha.
I also noticed a few intake gaskets were leaking so I bought a new set of felpro gaskets. I haven't been able to make a pass since I've been having to work a lot lately. I hope to make it out to the track 1 or 2 more times before they close soon. The car is running better than ever but I still need to have a friend help me reweld my wastegate pipe. With the cutout open it hits 15lbs of boost so I've been running it closed through the stock slp dual dual that came on the car. It holds to 8lbs with it closed but I know it's restricting it some. I plan to install a 10-12 lb spring the last time I go to the track and fill it with race gas. It will be really cool weather coming soon so I think I will be going deep into the 10's if things dont blow.

I want to go back this friday but after being kicked twice now I don't know if they will let me. I left a ton on the table, didn't realize until after my run I went down the entire track on 3-5 degrees of timing :bang: DA should be really good this friday, well atleast for Spokane haha.

Well... I tried to put it on kill for last race of the track for this year, guess I found the limit of my suspension / slicks. 40 degree track temp and 720 rwhp with a 6 speed don't work so well always next year. I was trying to go low 10's or bust hah!
