Default How to turn off interior lights in 1994 Z28 Camaro

Long story short, I bought my first car yesterday. I'll post another thread introducing myself, and telling about the mods she has, but for now I'm having a little problem. I can't seem to figure out how to turn off the interior lights (on mirror, and in front of hatch). Ive spent the last two days cleaning, detailing, and removing things, with having the doors, and hatch open so much I've killed the battery, twice. It wasn't a big deal, my mom jumped me, and I won't have plates until Monday, so I can't drive her until then anyway, but I would like to know how to/if it's possible to turn them off. I've checked the manual, and googled it and have come to the conclusion that it isn't possible, but my mom insists it is, so I thought I'd ask. Help?

Are you talking about turning them off with the door open? Or are they on all the time?

With the doors open, no there's no easy way to do that besides removing the black ground from battery... If they are on all the time then you either gotta turn the switch down next to the headlight switch, or you have a little wire gremlin.

I was talking about with the door open. When I close the door they turn off, but recently I have had the doors open so much, and I can't drive her to let the battery charge. Thanks anyway. It's probably not worth the trouble messing with wiring.

just disconnect the battery if you are going to be working with the doors open for a long time, or just turn the car on for a few mins every now and then.

Pull the "courtesy light" fuse in the side panel.
