2nd race was better, calling it a 40 roll but we don't remember where we were exactly.

Does the LT1 wanna race that 2V that was gonna race the black G8? I'm not trying to drop any names lol. The kid with the 2V has no respect for LT1's...kids these days I swear.

You wouldn't think that two similar cars with rwhp numbers so close would have that much of a gap.

Nice runs! Seems like the LS1 has nice power band. What gears is it running?

sweet runs man. I think that dyno on the ls1 may have been broken lol. I know it has a big stall but 350whp outta cammed auto ls1 is still pretty low. The way it pulled on that 96 leads one to believe also that it read very low on the dyno. good runs either way though

Is it like a stock 2v or something? My friend's turd gen 305 would be worth it, since the LT1 would just be wasting his gas.

The LT1 guy isn't the best 6 speed driver out there, but he's definitely coming along and I'd say he's gotten a lot better. Not spectacular, but not shitty. Average is where I'd stick him, which is where the majority of people are.

Also, see next 2 comments about powerbands and dynos.

Stock 3.23s.

The converter flashes to ~5200rpm, and it makes within 10hp of it's peak from 5200-6700, so it's definitely got a great band.

I've heard the dyno that the LT1 went on is on the happy side, but I can't confirm that. Stock heads, compression, injectors on 9x% DC, and DRs supposedly can rob a couple from you on the dyno as well...but who cares, this shows dyno #s don't mean ****.

I honestly don't know what all is done to it. I mean I can see h-pipe cat back cold air intake throttle body short throw shifter, some really nice clutch, DR's, and I think gears(?) not to sure. He pulled a catback auto ls1. I know it sounds like bullshit. Trust me I called BS on it too but I saw the video.

Nice runs...LS1 clearly had the better powerband haha.

BTW, when you gonna fill that sig with a car again rather than coming on here and posting other peoples runs?

Been looking for almost a month now, nothing is worth it around here. The only cars that I like are on the coasts. Think I'm going to give up until spring and start saving for a house, we'll see though.

You do know that autos get big drivetrain loss right? Especially when you add a big stall. With the converter locked it would have been much higher, but this just proves dyno numbers don't mean ****.

I'm much aware still seems way low, stalled auto or not. I'm also a strong believer that dynos are tuning tools, but still, 350whp in a cammed LS1 I think the dyno lied lol

Does the converter lock while racing?

I'd like to line up next to the '99 SS, WSsick let's try to make that happen, what do you think? I'm out of town this week-end, maybe in 2 weeks? BTW how's the 10 bolt working out?

WHO CARES ABOUT DYNO NUMBERS?!?!?!?! It's not a 6 speed!!!!!!!!

I can't understand why people are so hung up on a number. Just for reference, we got a print out of my friend's friend's dyno overlaid on this SS's graph. The car is an LS1 WS6, same SS4000 stall, full bolt-ons, stock cam but with a FAST. It made 310rwhp on the same dyno.

That's why I said "dyno numbers don't mean ****." It was dynoed the way it is raced.

I'll see what I can do, better be on your game to beat a cammed LS1 though.

10 bolt was waiting to go in until the heat wasn't so bad, but then someone hit the LT1 and he's waiting on insurance to see if it's totaled or not. If it's totaled, we have another friend that wants it. If not, then it'll go in the LT1.

I just said I agree dynos are ment for tuning. lol I was just saying it seemed low. Nothing more or less, if you raced me and said you have 350hp I would be like after seeing that thing move out(or I'm giving the ion to much credit for being a half way quick car.)
