Default untuned 3600 stall question

I am going to be installing my new Circle D 3600 stall in a few weeks. I am just wondering if I need a tune right away. Will I be able to drive the car an hour to the shop its getting tuned at? Should I drive it like a grandma there, or can I get into it a little? Thanks in advance for the help.

you need to make a 'sig' describing/telling us about your car. The more we know, the more we can help !

Well if there is a break in period recomended you will have to drive like granny. I did my 150mile break in with the yank and let'er rip for a couple weeks before I got a tune.

Do your break in and then get it tuned. It will be fine with normal driving.
