Default I want to install my new longtube headers????

I have a catback system that is welded to the ypipe but i want new headers and a ypipe. How do i take the ypipe off but keep the catback on and connect the new headers to the ypipe and the ypipe to the catback

depending on the size of your piping, you can slip them on each and just use an exhaust clamp temporarily, then drive to an exhaust shop and have them weld it together.

Or just drive open headers to the shop and have them weld it up.

I have the same thing going on myself. Might have to go right through the end of the stainless I pipe and go right through the merge pipe. I might just have to cut it farther back and weld a good stainless coupling on there to extend to the new y merge who knows.

Band clamps with slip fittings if possible.
