Default Opti harness question

Ok guys here's the situation. Iam on the middle of an engine swap. My other engine had a opti II. The engine I got has a opti I. The harness does fit on the opti without a problem. Question is will it turn on the car? Since they use different harnesses.(opti I uses a shorter plug)

Thanks in advance

A non-vented opti harness would not work on a vented opti, because it would not reach. A vented opti harness would plug into the pins on a non-vented opti, but it would stick out and not click closed because it is longer. The two are not really compatible.

I stand by my answer.

He asked if the car would turn on. The pins are in the same order. He was aware that one harness was shorter than the other. Whether you use an old harness, new harness, whatever, if the pins are in the same order all the signals still get to where they gotta go, so the engine would start.

He didn't ask if it would reach - he asked if it'd turn on.
