I ride with it closed most of the time but change it up every once in a while. The exhaust system consists of 1 3/4" pacesetter long tubes, 3" ORY, Borla Adjustable cat back, 4" Corsa clone tips.

I love Borla. Not a fan of the adjustable though.

That's quite interesting. I'd guess 10-12 decibels, more maybe, but it sure does sound ****** bad ***.

How much rwh does the car have through that system with the Borla closed?

Get an E Cutout for the Borla. Then the fun really begins.

Not sure, hasn't been dyno tuned yet. I've read that there is little to no gain with it open.

I've been wanting to get one but the guys at the exhaust shop got my Corsa clone tips lined up so perfect, I don't want to mess up the alignment. I believe the QTP E cutout is about 1/4" thicker than the block off plate on my Borla system.

Sounds good, definitely get the e-cutout...makes it was more fun to control it while driving.
I got the DMH borla cutout...you should be able to re-align the tips pretty easy after swapping the plate out for the e-cutout.

also to the previous question about hp gains...mine picked up 6 rwhp and 30 something tq (cant recall the exact number) when I dynoed closed vs open.

Six to ten hp sounds about right. It might pick up more with added mods.

I hear you on that. That's why I put my DMH in the I pipe under the pass seat. I just keep the Borla closed and open the DMH for fun time.

I keep mine open all the time even with an e-cutout. I only close it if its before 8:00AM or after 10:00PM leaving the house. I am sure the neighbors appreciate it, but its really on loud at WOT, the rest of the time, its not bad at all.

Sounds just like my car did.

I think with the stock manifolds and cats the Borla sounds great, but once I took off the manifolds for headers and ORY I hated the Borla exhaust it was just so raspy it did not matter it if was open or closed or what sized plate I made for it. Just idelling is sounded ok but when you was driving it and when you would shift and the R's would drop it was like a wet fart sound lol.
But Im a odd one I guess because I don't like a lot of the big name exhust.

Here is a old video of mine with the LS1, I have some with the LS3 somewhere, hopefully I'll have another with the LSX here soon if I can get time to finish the cage and but the motor back in it.
