Default 6.0 heads on LS1?

Looking to procharge my LS1, Can I use 6.0 heads to lower compression or is that a bad Idea and cause blown headgaskets?

yes u can use 6.0 LQ4 and LQ9 heads which are 317 castings. just use a 4in bore head gasket and you will be fine.

243s are not 6.0 heads. but they do come on the newer 5.3 trucks.

243s came on the 05-06 GTO LS2 engines which obviosly is a 6.0 just not the LQ4. For the OP is is a good idea to run 317s for FI

Yes it is common practice just use 6.0 MLS gaskets.
