Question Koni Lower Ring or Not?

Finally got to starting my SS front shock swap (sticking with stock springs), and wondered if those who used the Koni lower ring setting -- did they noticed the difference at all and if it looks better? It is a small change, but is it noticeable when done? Obviously you don't loose much suspension travel. I have no plans to change height in the rear -- is the lower ring setting still desirable? Does such a small change require an alignment?

TIA

PS: Found my pneumatic 3 in. cutoff wheel did the job nicely with that badly rusted nut -- just have to replace the metal/rubber insulator that is part destroyed.
