Default What are cats worth?

I finished parting out a 99 camaro and 99 trans am and have mostly emissions stuff left over...I have a set of bad cats..and a set of good cats...I know the bad cats are pretty much garbage...and have seen replacement cats go for an arm and a leg..what would be the average cost I'm expecting from recycling..or resale?

Cats are gross, they are for old lonely fat women. And they aren't your pet, they think they own you. A dog will be your best friend and give you unconditional love.

$80-100 for the pair if the mileage is somewhat high.
$100-150 if the mileage is <75000

$20 for cheap ones so someone can gut them, or you can sell them to someone looking to reclaim the insides. I think someone on here was paying around $100 for the pair

I guess I'll just put em in my classified ad..I thought they normally run higher cus of Cali's strict smog for our cars...I'm gonna assume the 00-02 cat won't be any different? Someone will need these...83k on the 98-99 and 76k on the 00-02....dealers charges an arm leg torso and left ear for these don't they?

I Don't know what the dealer charges for them, but I bought a new magnaflow cat for $200 shipped on eBay. Bolted up perfectly.

For someone looking to recycle them $100-$120 (set)

If you were to exchange them for some cash (in most states selling a used cat is illegal) ive seen them posted as high as $200 (set) in cali... but what they got for them maybe another story.

hmm...well I got a couple of sets of cats and really might just get a hold of who ever recycles on here...I forget who but I'll check my pm for his info...I got 2 sets of 98-99 1 set bad 1 set good..and I got a set of 00-02 driver side oem passenger seems to have an aftermarket cat welded in place...hell if I get $100 I'll be happy..but $200 I already made the mistake of buying some used ones that expensive.

If you are willing to wait and sell them to someone who needs them, I'd say $200.

Check out what Cali legal replacements go for. Oh, wait...
