Is the over-axle pipe the same between these two catbacks? I noticed that the "dual dual" over axle pipe is crushed for clearance and I'm not sure if the TOTL is the same.

I have the 2otl cb and the over axle pipe is not crushed.

It depends if it was a SLP installed cb or if you bought it aftermarket. Aftermarket will be smooth, installed will be slightly crushed/clearanced.

My aftermarket SLP dual dual has the crushed over-axle section (same as the SLP installed). Are you saying the TOTL is different in that aftermarket is not crushed, but SLP installed is?

Hmm all the aftermarket ones ive seen were smooth, i guess it is just luck as to wether you get a crushed one or not. :dunno:

Did you buy it fro SLP or from someone who took it off there car? If it's a take off of an LT1 SS then that's why it crushed.

One more question: If the over axle pipe on the SLP dual dual were not crushed, would there be any clearance issues? I'm considering to cut the over axle pipe, use a pipe expander to bring it back to 3" round, then reweld back together.

Any input would be appreciated!

It will fit fine, it was more of a precautionary thing by slp.
