i need ot buy a transmission overhaul kit as well as a ring and pinion for a 2002 holden monaro vt ( chevy lumina ss in the persian gulf) .

what kind of rear end do they have? where can i get parts for it ( different ratios) ? and are they interchangeable with anything in the states?
what ratios came in them and are there any factory options?

as for the tranny, is there a place where i can buy an aftermarket rebuild kit to handle some horespower? are the 4l60e trannys in the monaro the same as in a camaro or firebird?

and finally, will the torque converters interchange between f-bodies and monaros?

sorry for all the questions but i have to know real quick.

I have a lumina ss in Bahrain, and stock ratio is 3.07.

There are some aftermarket ratio like 3.46 for automatic transmission that will give u better acceleration. As for reliablity I suggest you get a transmission cooler. You can also replace it with the new 4l65e in the 2004 monaros/GTO's but its gonna cost a lot!

About the torque converters.. I believe they do the f-body TC fit the luminas though im not too sure.

Hope this helps..

thanks guys,
well i guess it's a bit too late for the cooler now. the tranny is slipping in drive.
so i guess it's time for a rebuild kit, shift kit and a tranny cooler.
