Default Possbile to remove drivers seat back?

Found another seat in better condition. Curious if I can just swap the backs instead of the whole unit. AKA mine has a better base and this one has a better back....

Sure. Shouldn't be an issue.

Yup. Also passenger and driver seat bottoms are the same except for a threaded clip that needs to be swapped from one side to the other. At least that is true for the Formula seats and I think its the same situation with the Camaro seats.

Those rear bottom seats are super easy to remove. One bolt and thats it. When I first removed mine, I found a bunch of trash from the last owner. Be prepared for what you may find if you have never removed them. I found melted candy, a fake finger nail, an old receipt, a tax document, blonde hair, and other junk.

I think he's talking about the front seats, not the rear.

Two bolts on one side (13mm I think) and one torx (T50 I think) bolt on the other and the top and bottom separate. Center console will likely be in the way so the seat will probably have to be pulled out of the car first.

Yes 2 bolts I believe and you can swap them out. It is easier to remove entire seat from car first. Start by removing the 4 nutz that bolt the seat down. Then remove 2 screws by headrest to release seat belt. Seat comes right out. You cannot swap drivers with passenger because of the latch. If you decide to swap driver and passenger bottom seat covers, will not fit perfect but can be done. Passenger will have an open slit from the electronics driver side, but will face middle console.

Thanks again for the knowledge. Much appreciated! Yes, just want to swap a drivers front seat back out. Will remove both and go from there. Thanks LS1Tech
