Default new pb and lifted a head 9.03@146 updated with pics

car went 9.03@146 lifting a head and letting out early. car was on a pass. it went 5.8@124 in the 1/8th. the car usually picks up 30mph on the big end, so it was going to put down a good mph.

25psi 15-16* timing
80mm turbo
100 shot
meth injection
e85
no intercooler
iats were 200+

yeh it looked to be on a good pass for sure! seems like you need to get the IATs in order to play it a bit more safe.

I'm a little surprised they are that high though with meth and E85.

damn just noticed 100 shot along with 25 psi .. wow!

i was hoping for 8.7-8.8. now its time to change things around and get some good heads. i do think the turbo is maxed.

i think the turbo is done. i think it started blowing hot air. with e85 meth and nitrous you would think iats would be good. now its time for a2w, good heads and a bigger turbo!!!

I read a lot about lifting heads on the LSX motors. How common is it to O-ring blocks or heads on these engines? Do you guys not do that because of the OEM MLS gaskets?

Also, someone made a reference to the LS9, were they talking bout LS9 heads not lifting or just using the LS9 gaskets and not lifting those?

I haven't heard of much head lifting issues with the LSX engines. Do to the help of the 6 bolt per cylinder advantage. But i do have my ls O-ringed and running cometic mls gaskets.
