Spraying through the shifts Pros and Cons
Is there anyone spraying through their shifts? If so what are the pros you have seen? What are some of the negatives to doing so? The power range I am asking about is 50-150 of spray.

It has been proven over and over again that a well built 60E will take a ton of power, so it all depends on the quality of rebuild on the trans and how much power you are making. I would contact your builder and see if he thinks your trans is up to the task, but otherwise I agree with ronn, setup your window switch just right and the difference may not be worth the risk.

When my controller cuts nitrous, the car loads up and bogs for a second. It cut it before 1-2 in this vid but sprayed thru 2-3.

I have a stock 126k mile 4l60e and 10-bolt, spray thru shifts and cross the bridges as they come.

Here is when we had the lt1 in it. Converter was slipping. Still spraying through the shifts. I couldn't hit it with any more than a 100 shot.

Thanks for the responses. It seems so far that it does have it's advantages as well as drawbacks. My rev limit is set at 6900, my shift begins at 6600 and seems to complete around 6800, I am not hitting the rev limiter right now. I figure if I spray through the shift I'd bump the limiter up to 7000. I am not a "max effort racer", but I do want the most out of my setup.

This is my first nitrous set up, but after riding with a friend at the track with a similar setup to mine then going back to my car without nitrous was pretty boring.

Trey,
I have to agree with minytrker. That is the way I have always gone about it. I consider a driveline that will hold it a supporting mod. If it will not handle it, don't spray. But that's me, and I'm a drag racer, and drag racers break stuff.
Whats the ETA on your box?

I know the weakest points in my drivertrain are the drive shaft and the 10 bolt. I plan on upgrading to a 9 bolt in a couple months. The box will be in Tuesday. I may ask them to overnight ship it since I keep getting duds. This is box number 3. And yes everyone, I have checked the wiring, over and over and under and around, inside and out. I sprayed 50 down the lines, the first time I went from 65 to 120 and cut it between the shifts, then I just laid into it all the way through the shifts. I then did a couple of pulls from a dead stop and through the shifts with the 50 pill. Not once did it touch the rev limiter and the shift extensions kept the juice flowing by way of the WOT switch. I pulled the TR6's and the read pretty rich. I am going to install the plugs I got from Dave, I think BRE7's and wait for the box.... then we will go to the 150 pill and call it done. For now at least.
