There's 2 small SPAL fans you can put on that will go right on the radiator, tune you just need to turn them on at a lower temp, that's all.

I'll have to look for the part # I don't remember what it is.

curious about this also. I have seen a single fan mounted to a flat aluminum plate. Looked like it dropped in where the dual fan goes but only one fan. I wander how it would be to make one work instead of two.

those fans are retarted heavy...i work at autozone and the universal fan it called for, for a 93 LT1 which is just a circular fan was only 5.4lbs....even if you needed two of those it would be 10lbs rather than like 30 or whatever it weighs !....JL get that part number !

My fan only weighed 11 pounds man, and the radiator is light too, i don't think your gonna really lose any weight off of that to be worth it.

just thinking outloud here, but is one of the fans only used for air conditioning? if so the other one could be discarded if your not using ac

No both the fans are used on the car.

Look for a smallish SPAL fan, summit sells them, they attach to the radiator like a tranny cooler would with the pull thru plastic fastners, if ya use 2 of them like the stock setup is it will save a bunch of weight.. you just have to set the tune to turn them on pretty much all the time.

Problem, is without a shroud like the stock setup has you will only draw air thru that part of the radiator, and alot of street driving you may have a temp/cooling issue. If you run an electric water pump, and can leave that on with the fans running after a run at the track you won't have any issues, as the car will have plenty of time to cool off... on the street, I could see it possibly being inadequate.

I changed from the stock C5 radiator and dual fans to an AFCO radiator and single fan. The AFCO radiator and fan weighs 15#.

The radiator I have here, with the fan, and the water pump on it is 19 lbs

I know most of the 4th gens they have a dummy fan temp guage but if N/A and street driving should be fine I would think. Only when your running FI or 100+ deg temp days in stop and go traffic. Maybe have the fans run constantly to try to keep it as cool as possible, lower thermo, and water wetter.

More just a thought but it would be cool to ditch extra weight.
