Default 1993 camaro z28

Hello. i recently just bought my camaro z28 LT1 off craigslist. i put the front end of the motor back together with my dad (replaced optispark). and found out that my transmission (4L60E) wasn't shifting into 2nd gear. It had Park, Reverse and 1st gear. i replaced the VSS(vehicle Speed Sensor) today and it now shifts, but however it goes into high rpm before shifting. I don't know what is causing this. So if anyone knows the cause or a fix to this please let me know thanks.

First off welcome to ls1tech son.

Quick background on the the car. We found in on craigslist for $2500, after seeing it we ended up paying $900. Car needs a lot of work as you can see in the pics. But its his first car and Im not made of money lol.

We were told by the owner that he installed a new optispark but stopped there. Never mentioned that the car sat outside, with the hood up, with no valve cover one one side. We drained a lot of water out of the crankcase. Needless to say we've spent quite a bit of money flushing the motor out. But all is well in that department. Got the car running but it wouldnt shift to second. we had first and reverse so I figured it was the speed sensor. Replaced that and it now shifts but the shift points seem way off. Thats where Im lost.

welcome,Again refer to post #2
And it doesn't have a "4L60e".. The 93's are not electric they are 4L60/700r4 transmissions . Ur Tv cable prob needs adjusted, follow link.

Also, a random 3 year old thread about a '93 camaro isn't the place to find what you're looking for. Look on craigslist, ebay, the classifieds here on Tech etc etc.
