Default What kind of tune?

A friend of mine bought an ls1 a few months ago from a car lot and slowly we have been discovering what has been done to it. It has a 410 gear in it and the speedometer is correct. The automatic transmission shifts really hard, pretty sure its been adjusted. Is there any way to tell what kind of tune that it has on it? Funny when he first got it all we knew was it had a flowmaster catback, when he walked down a bolt on longtube car we knew something was up. He has since added longtubes, xpipe, and a lid and filter. He is looking to go with a frost tune which ive heard nothing but positive things about. Anyway is there any way to tell what he already has?

frosts tune will overwrite anything he has so it doesnt matter...the only other thing you could do is take it to a dealership for a stock tune which will not be any good.

Anyone with a decent tuning software program (i.e. EFI Live or HPT) can download the tune out of the car and compare it to a known stock calibration file to see the differences. But, it won't tell you necessarily about the physical mods that may have been on the car.
