Default 11 sec n/a stock internal question

How many n/a stock internal A4 cars are running the SS4000 convertor and opinions on can it be done without true duals and and LS6 intake?

You can run the SS4000 on stock internals just fine. The fastest stock internal cars ran the YTP 4400, so the 4000 will be no problem.

Dual exhaust gains are small over a good Y-pipe and cut-out.

I didn't add the LS6 intake until I added a cam.

I'll go one further and say that dual exhaust gains are ZERO or even less than zero as compared to a REALLY GOOD (as in, plenty large enough) Y-pipe setup and properly sized cuttout.

The LS6 intake is a whopping 6-8 RWHP on an internally stock engine.

The SS4000 is a fine street/strip converter.

How many guys have done it with the stock gear (3.23s)? Besides Colonel. I want to see if i can go 11.99 with the 3.23s. I see a lot of stock internal guys going 11s but with a gear change.

I'm waiting to talk to Yank before i make my choice.
I like the SS4000 and the YTP4400. It will all come down to what Yank can tell me .
I will need tuning (something more than this base Predator anyway).
I will start looking into a diet for the car, because i ran 11.4's last year without a cage and will not be able to do that again(i've been warned).
Thanks for all the info . I have 2 weeks till my trans is finished (getting rebuilt and adding some stronger parts),I want to get the trans before it gets me,ya know. No troubles with it ,just changing convertors is a real good time to go through it.

I will look into getting a QTP cutout setup too.
Thanks again.

Stanton is where i normally go also. I run 12.7@107 w/1.7 60ft. On spray it gets even more fun. I need to pinpoint where the trouble is because this thing dead hooks and i just seem to be getting no better launch. Have played with this vertor for over 1 year . I dropped .4 in the 1/8 with it,BUT only .5 in the 1/4. I really need to look at the tune on the dyno and check everything out. Convertor then trans THEN tuned and hoping for 11/s N/A .

I am trying to switch to n/a racing and leave the bottle alone.
I just want 11's with stock internals n/a. If the new convertor will take nitrous use that's a plus.
From what i understand the Vig3600 is a real poor choice for nitrous, and i dropped 1.3 seconds and gained 10 mph with it on the bottle from n/a times.
It stalls around 5200 on the bottle and i still dropped some good E/T.

The ss4000 will hold 150 shot. A Ytp 4000 will take a 100 shot. If you want killer NA times, the YTP 4200 is what I would buy.

Yup Dave I know exactly what you mean at Stanton I dead hook every time!!! So I pretty much know i'm gonna need more power to get my '60 times down, because I don't think I can get much better '60's with my minimal mods
