Default LSX Carb vs EFI

Ok so I got a question for everyone. I might be picking up a LSX built motor ( Basically LQ4 bored and forged internals ) I will be putting it in my 89 Iroc if I get the motor. What I want to know is the pros and cons of carb and EFI. Im personally leaning to the side of carb as I reallylike the look to it. If I do run a carb is it just like running a SBC carb motor?? Do I need the PCM still even if I have the MSD box for the carb set up??? I basically know what to do for EFI as the guy im getting the motor from ive helped build his car.

Any thoughts and opinions will be greatly appreciated as Im so new to the LS side it isnt even funny

Thanks
